Meesh and I went on another adventure this morning. Who knew there would be hiking trails just across from the Puente Hills mall?? Definitely not me. From the street/parking lot it just looks like a park. There's a lot of grass, playgrounds and plenty of picnic tables. I kind of felt a fool just walking on the grass. It didn't take too long for us to spot the trailhead.
It started off very level and the difficulty wasn't really there. Do you want to know what was there??? A BUNCH OF GNATS! Gnats galore. I didn't bother conversing with her because I don't like the idea of swallowing a bunch of flies. She got it. After awhile though we started to hit the inclines. They didn't go for too long at a time though. You can run up one in 10 seconds. And that's what we did. I was determined to get my heart rate up so I wouldn't have to run later on. So we quickly walked the level portions and we ran up the inclines.
Neither of us have ever been on this trail. We weren't sure if it looped around or if this was a kind of trail that you have to turn around to get back to your car. Each time the trail would turn around a hill, I was hoping it would start declining. But no, it just kept going up and up. Eventually we just turned around because we weren't sure how much left we had to go. Now that I've looked at a map, I'm pretty sure we were almost there. Going back down probably sucked more than going up. It's a killer on the knees. You know.

| I'm going to say we started at the blue dot and went all the way right and back to the middle on the lower trail. |
I'm working on app stuff but I've hit a writer's block as far as my educational/personal pursuits goes. This will be mailed Thursday. dkajf;jdsakf;jsdf;a
