I don't know if I've mentioned this before but oh well.
A couple summer's back, I took a speech class at OCC. We spent the first day (4 hours) introducing ourselves. The most amazing "share something about yourself that no one in here has in common with you" was from a girl who said she just came back from backpacking in South America.
When the session was finally over, we all tried to find each other on facebook. I never really talked to her, let alone anyone else (loner kid), but I'm so glad I found her on facebook.
Even now as she's "settled down" in Costa Mesa, she still appears to be adventurous as before. I say "appears" because I still don't actually talk to her, just facebook stalking.
Anyways, here is her blog:

The trip is around 3 years old, but it's still a fun read. Imagine backpacking for over a year. What a great social support system, huh? How nice to be surrounded by people who won't give you a guilt trip for wanting to explore. Bitter rant over.
My gypsy soul will have to settle on living vicariously through others and their blogs.
-chicken shit out.
