March in the Making

I know me.  I know I get withdrawals.  I also know it's not too long before whatever has changed becomes the norm and I can go about my day as always.   It kind of goes back to that whole changing back into the person I've always been thing.  Even though that was just on a whole 'nother level it's sort of the same.  I refuse to let this little monster go though.  Even though I don't get to see her nearly as much I try to schedule playdates with her.  And by the way, she is going to be the death of my by gooberness alone.

This weekend was pretty awesome.  I didn't go to the gym and I didn't bake.  I think a dance party was involved.

We celebrated Melis's bday at Rockwell in Los Feliz.  Outdoor lounge on a rainy night=awesome.  I attribute the missing lashes to the moisture.  And I attribute the hysterical crying to the AMF's.  I haven't been that ridiculous since the night of "You are not my keeper."  Luckily, I don't talk to either of those 2 anymore that no one really knows.  Next up: VJ's bday.  I'm determined to make it to all their birthdays.

I didn't plan the weekend out so well as far as Saturday night/Sunday morning goes.  I did make it in time for brunch plans though.  And so what if I didn't enjoy what looked like delicious food as much as I could have.  The company was what I was there for.... Oh okay, the food too but I'll make up for that.  So anyways... Francisco, Clarke and I had brunch at Elements Cafe in Old Town per Clarke's suggestion.  The menu looked sooo tasty.  And even though I didn't have an appetite (That bitch is drunk) it was still a toss between bacon, with some other stuff, or a breakfast burrito.  They also had a mac and cheese w/ wild mushrooms, LOBSTER and TRUFFLES.  How amazing does that sound?  It was nice to catch up with old friends.  I haven't seen them in aaaages.  It's nice to know they're still the geniuses they've always been.

I was fortunate enough NOT to be out of commission and enjoy what was left of the weekend.  Role Models & Blue Valentine??? Suuuure.  Completely opposite in nature but I managed to laugh during the most inappropriate scenes of Blue Valentine.  The abortion clinic... really??? Really??  I don't care how beat I am, it's always nice to have company.  Anyways... Love this:
