Napa

The Brady's are putting us to work today and we "get to" pick grapes.  I'm sure my knees are going to absolutely hate me by the end of it. I'm sorry in advance Left Knee.  I'm back in mine and Maria's room for now hiding from Amanda.

We had an amazing dinner last night.  Like ridiculously amazing.  I think it's ridiculous that EVERYTIME I come to Napa it's raining and gloomy.  Luckily I have that new lens and I've been getting great pictures.  No flash needed ;)  It's like a new toy.  I love new-to-me things!

My hiding under the sheets from Amanda tactic turned into me falling asleep for another hour before realizing everyone was at work outside except for me and Maria.  We spent all of Saturday at the house.  After picking grapes for 5 hours, sorting through for the next couple of hours, we were completely spent.  Mama Brady fixed us a delicious lunch though.. mmmMmmmm.  Turkey chili with corn and butternut squash, corn bread, brownies and a bunch of other stuff probably.  We spent the rest of the night on the couch watching Babies, What I Like About You, and Love Actually.  

Sunday, Amanda and Mama Brady surprised us with a limo to take us wine tasting.  We really only stopped at Reynolds.  I don't drink much wine, let alone red wine, but I don't hate against free alcohol and crackers :D  The limo took us to lunch at Farmstead, which is really expensive comfort food, but completely delicious.  I had gnocchi with braised chuck.  But even their cheeseburgers looked amazing.  I should've gotten their cheeseburgers..  The wine kind of gave me a headache and we spent the rest of the day at the house until Amanda took us to the airport.  The end.

And now I take a vacation from my mini-vacation.  Staying home all day to work on applications with breaks for reading Mini-Shopaholic and window shopping online.  Or staying home all day reading Mini-shopaholic and window shopping online with breaks to work on applications.  Either way, I'm relaxing but aiming to be productive.  

Btw, where do puffer jackets stand for the winter???  They're super unflattering, like Uggs, but they're so comfortable and they keep you incredibly warm.  And my favorite, they're super lightweight.
