La Sagrada Familia

I was watching HIMYM when Ted was talking about the unfinished church.  Before he could even talk about it, my mom interrupted:
mom: Oh, Kristine we've been there.  It's the unfinished church.
me: oh.. cool.
mom: it's in Barcelona.
me: oh!  I think I'm going there on my trip.
mom: ---silence---

I figured she shared her life then I can share mine too.  I soon realized this is how it'll be for almost a year.  I bring it up, and she doesn't want to talk about it.  But then:

mom: So you're going backpacking?
me: What? No.
mom: But you're going alone?
me: heck no.
mom: oh! I thought you were going alone!


Hopefully that clears some things up and we can continue on with our lives.
Ha.  Go to Europe alone.  I can barely sleep in an empty house, my house, alone.
