Outdoor friendly

I like the way it looks.  I've never worked with a pentax before though.  And c'mon, it comes with a carabiner.

My point with starting the whole camera research thing was that I was so disappointed with my point and shoot at the KOL concert.  Extremely disappointed.  So I started looking for megazoom cameras.  But really, how often do I go to concerts.  Not that often.   I started [re]looking into outdoor friendly cameras.  These cameras could take a beating.  But with either feature, image quality gets compromised.  The lens and the glass are just not the same, for obvious reasons of course.  I just don't think I could compromise image quality if I'm actually looking to replace my sony.  It would be cool to take a video under water.  Or even just be able to take pictures out in the ocean for the times when I like to swim far.  I don't know what I'd take a picture of... Robyn on the sand?  And that would get old.

If I want great image quality I should just use the big one.  But it's a hassle to carry around ALL the time.  And I want great image quality ALL the time.  So basically after typing this I am yet to come to a conclusion.  I've been on CNET for a better part of the day and my poor cousin had to deal with me thinking out loud and showing her pictures of cameras and the pictures those cameras take.

Sidenote:  When you upload things onto flickr, it takes note of what camera those pictures were taken with, and unless you're pro and hide everything, it gives the settings and whatnot.  I love flickr.

Merv out.  I've had HIMYM on pause for the longest time.
