Cakes

You know what I don't get?  Cupcakes... especially red velvet.  I don't get it.  The first time I had red velvet cake was at Doughboys... it was okay.  I wasn't mad at it.  I liked the hummingbird cake better.  Actually, I take that back.  I was mad at it. Oprah had raved about red velvet cake from Doughboys... and it was okay.

I am craving those asian sponge, fruit cakes.  I don't know the proper name given to them.  But you know the one I'm talking about.  It's spongy and light, all kinds of fruit in the middle.  I was always happy with just strawberry.  Even though the cream was just whatever, it was delightful in every way imaginable.  And there were almonds on the side.

I requested one for graduation dinner, but then the whole thing with my dad in the hospital happened.  haha, it's funny to bring up.  

Anyways, this is going to be my next venture.  Right after pillow cookies.. and mastering the GRE's.. And finding an internship.. and applying to grad schools.. and being awesome.
