Saturdays off the 405

AWESOME SATURDAY!

I woke up to eat breakfast and take medicine then I went back to bed for another 2 or so hours.  I didn't get out of bed until 1230, it was great.  The weather was perfect for just lying tangled in my sheets.  And nobody was blasting retard music like they are now.  Grad parties I assume.

Tin and I went to the Getty.  It took us around 2 hours just to get there.  I hate LA.  Even if it is just the traffic, it's enough to make me hate the whole city.  There was a long ass line just to exit.  Cars were blocking the intersection.  When we finally got onto Sepulveda, we tried to cut in front of people only to find there was a small parking lot right in front of the Getty.  Why was nobody turning there?  It was a short walk to the tram.  And of course the tram line was super long.  We overhear people talking about possibly walking up to the Getty.  When they confirm and walk out of line, Tin asks if they're walking and they said yeah.  It's about a mile uphill.  We make a turn onto the road and TADA!!! There's a shuttle taking people up.  Is that not the best luck ever?!  I thought we were going to be late, but Mayer didn't come out for like an hour.

Oh, so we went to see Mayer Hawthorne.  Or, I was going to see a free show, not knowing who Mayer Hawthorne was.  But man, I'm so glad I remembered about the Getty's events.  It was great, especially since it was free.  And the drinks weren't ridiculously expensive.  I have videos, but I'm dancing so it looks like everyone is bobbing their head.

Next up:
Dawes on July 10.  Probably for longer.  I'll be prepared this time.  A backpack with a tiny blanket and food.. and boxed wine.  Oh, and a decent camera would be nice too.

Dead Man's Bones on June 27th.  Anyone?  $22.
